In what must be a rare case in the arena of art, at least for someone who started painting less than three year ago, the canvasses have been selling weeks before they are placed on show!
“But these are not regular paintings. Mine are Feng Shui paintings and I’m selling them only to those who consult me,” says Mohan Deep, the Feng Shui master-painter. He explains further, “More important is the intention of the person who is painting it. The reason I have taken to painting is not only for my creative satisfaction but also for the fact that the intention of the painter works wonders and make it any day better than a mass produced Feng Shui product. It is the difference between the food lovingly cooked by a mother or an indifferently prepared hamburger.”
Mohan Deep’s work will be on show in one of the art galleries that dots the heavily populated Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri, where the Feng Shui Master-Painter has a loyal following. They will also be exhibited on http://www.Fengshuimiracle.com, Mohan Deep’s website which, at the moment offers online Feng Shui consultation.
The show that he is planning is scheduled in two months and Mohan Deep has been working furiously to meet the deadline he has set for himself. The deadlines are nothing new for the man known for his scoops and investigative articles during the two decades of print journalism. Mohan Deep’s journey from journalism to best-selling books was noted for the controversies he courted till he wrote `Feng Shui for the Bold & the Beautiful, the Rich and the Famous`.
Shunning controversies, he took up Feng Shui as his new profession and made a successful career of it with industrialists, politicians, movie stars, businessmen and people from all walks of life consulting him.

“ Besides the usual Feng Shui advice that has to do with directions, elements, colors and forms and uses what are commonly referred to as Feng Shui products, I suggest exclusively prepared paintings for my special clients. To give you an instance, I’m working on a painting that has legendary Madhubala, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai and the face of my new client. This client, a gorgeous Bengali damsel has made her debut but has failed to make it so far. In case of a mural like this it is important where the various images are and the placement of the painting.”
